I posted this on the SN board a few months ago,with information on how I record the Texas videos with my DVD recorder that is completely separate from my computer.
Since I want to watch these episodes on my TV,I don't want to store them on my computer,so I just record from the live FLV stream or if I saved the videos(once I have them saved on a DVD,I delete the video from my computer).
My computer is a Windows XP and does not have a video out jack,just the audio,so I bought a device that lets me connect it to my DVD recorder or my VCR.
Here is how I do it:
It is called the PC to Video EZ model GEZ 1000 by Grantec and it cost me about $50. It is powered by a USB cable(also included),so no software to worry about downloading.
It is a small white box and comes with the VGA cable to connect to the computer. My monitor has the cable connected into it,so I plug that into the device and can view the computer through a 32 inch TV(which is what the VCR and DVD recorder is hooked into)and the monitor simultaneously.
The cables that come with it have female connectors,so you will still need to get RCA cables(female connection cables just allow you to extend the length of your RCA cables,by plugging them together).
This device only handles video,so you will also need to get an RCA cable that has an earphone plug on the end of it.
You connect that into either the earphone jack or speaker jack of the computer and then connect the other ends of the cable directly into the audio in jacks of a DVD recorder or VCR. Most stores should have these cables or even online.

This is the original design of the device,which has the wires attached,before they changed it to the small white box and detached cables,but it does exactly the same thing as the current model.

If your computer already has a video out connection,then you won't need the PC to Video device.
