Well, it's $2.55 to $2.58 here. It cost me $40.00 to fill up.
I'd love to be able to fill up for $17 LOL! |

How do you think I feel, with ALL the driving I have to do. Yesterday, it was 2.49 a gallon, then this morning, when I came through Greenville , it was 2.67 a
gallon. They can keep their 2.67 a gallon gas and ram it up their rears. Then when I get back into town, where it was 2.49 a gallon yesterday has already
become 2.59 a gallon gas. And for what?? Just so they can justify it by saying it is Easter weekend?? I am soo glad I only have 3 and a half more weeks of
drives of 120 to 125 miles a day, 5 days a week.
Some stories don't have a clear beginning middle and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of
it, without knowing what's going to happen next. Delicious ambiguity...It's always something.

Good evening everyone. Sounds like everyone has high gas prices. Geesh I wouldn't want to pay $40.00 for a tank of gas

Hey Carrie, this would make a good debate topic. I'm going to move this to the Great Debate board but shadow it here.
It went up here today. It is $2.67-$2.69 an gallon. I pulled into Flashfoods to fill up and said forget this! I went to the Exxon station at the edge of town. It was still $2.53 for regular. I discovered a problem. They were out of regular. I had to get the midgrade. It was $2.63. That was still cheaper then regular in other parts of town. I figured it up though, if I put 12 gallons in I'm really only spending $1.20 more a gallon. So, I've decided to just put the midgrade in from now on, it's really not that big of a difference. It cost me $39.00 to fill my Trailblazer up today. The one good thing is that Trailblazer is much better on gas then my Intrepid ever was (Intepid should have gotten more millage wise but it didn't). I go 20 miles one way to work and 20 miles back home five days a week. I can make a 80 mile trip (40 one way and 40 back) and not have to fill up till Thursday or Friday the next week (Saturday trip). My husbands truck takes around $50 to fill. I'm really only paying about $10 more to put gas in the Trailblazer then I was in the Intrepid.

You guys are under $3.00 a gallon?!? Here in California, it is at least $3.15 a gallon, for the least expensive gas. And, I hear it will be close to $5.00 by
July! So, I guess it is not getting any better any time soon. What a crock! Oil companies are gouging us, just like the utility companies did a few years
ago.

I heard to day that that national average for gasoline rose to $2.78 a gallon.
GA is about 10 cents below that, at least where I am. |

I love living in California --- except for the gas prices and the wildfires! Earthquakes don't happen that often, but I am afraid of the fires (we
didn't get much rain this winter). But, I am so angry about how they jerk us around with the gas prices. I drive about 40 miles each work day, so I fill
up at least 2x a week. Right now, that's about $60 a week! Not to mention what my husband is paying each week! The only saving grace is that I have to
buy scrip from my son's school. I get the gas gift cards, and at least I'm getting credit (and a little tuition break) at my son's school.
Whatever happened to $1 a gallon?!? I miss the good old days!

I am awful I do not know how much per gallon, but it cost me $35.89 to fill up so must have been about $2.65 per gallon. I always buy my gas from the guy who
has his store/gas station in my neighborhood. They are a very nice family and live in the neighborhood. I feel like it is more important for me to support a
small local business rather than some huge company. Last time I checked his prices were less than most. On the other hand if that is no longer true and he is
even 10 cents more per gallon, in my car that means $1.35 more and supporting the small local guy is more important than the $1.35 to me. Now food on the other
hand is breaking me it just keeps getting more and more expensive. I do realize in part because of the gas. And with summer coming who knows how high it will
go!

Yes Tish we are lucky here in Maine we do still have a good number of small businesses left to support. We, until recently even had a grocery store or two but
those are dropping fast. We are also losing or have lost many small stores and restaurants that have been replaced by the Best Buys, Walmarts, Home Depots, and
Applebees. I do my very best to choose small and local whenever I can.

Carrie,
You're lucky it only cost you that much to fill up. It costs me close to $40 or more to fill up. I choose to drive a bigger vehicle though. Prices here start at $2.74 now. When will we stop getting ripped off????????????? |

2.85 to 2.99 to fill up here, once again, depending on which end of town you happen to live on.

The only station here that was $2.99 believe it or not was Exxon! They were all like "What?" when I told them everyone else in town was $3.05 except
for them and Shell ($3.00).
Time to slow down, car pool as much as you can. That is what we plan to do! |
